The first was Healthmarc, one of the foremost utilization review, case management, and heath advocacy nurse line services in the country. It was purchased by UnitedHealth Group in 1991, and had a strong customer base that included GE, PepsiCo and Chevron.

eBenx, Mark’s second company, was built to support eligibility management and premium payments for Fortune 500 companies. When eBenx went public in 1999, it was the largest IPO in Minnesota history.

mPay Gateway™ is Mark’s latest venture in health care technology. Mark has served as an executive within Kaiser Health Plan, CIGNA Health Plan and United HealthCare. He received his MBA from the University of Minnesota in 1977, and served in the Peace Corps from 1971 to 1973.

While at UnitedHealth Group from 1999 through 2005, he was one of the founders of its consumer finance business. He chartered Exante Bank, the first successful bank built by a health care company, and served as its Chair for three years.

Brian began his career in the private practice of law, advising clients on a variety of financing and M&A transactions. From 1991 through 1998 he was an executive at Jostens, Inc, serving as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. He is a graduate of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and University of Michigan Law School.

He is responsible for creating the interfaces and data exchange between mPay Gateway and both the financial services industry and the health care practice management systems. Craig has 13 years of IT management experience and 18 years of software development experience.

He most recently worked with SHPS/eBenX as the Manager of Data Integration, where he architected Health Care-related Data Integration systems/procedures, BPM systems and Rules Engines. Previously he worked as a consultant to SearchAmerica, Inc., where he architected transactional interfaces to Equifax, Experian, Axciom, and TransUnion. Craig holds a bachelor’s degree from Concordia College, Moorhead, Minnesota.

Prior to joining mPay Gateway, Jim was the senior finance executive at Idexx Laboratories for their veterinary practice management software business.

Jim also served as CFO at TD Banknorth Insurance Group, where he executed and integrated a series of acquisitions and held various management positions in the employee benefits unit of Unum, the disability insurance carrier. Jim is a graduate of Bowdoin College and has an MBA from the University of Michigan.
