The first was Healthmarc, one of the foremost utilization review, case management, and heath advocacy nurse line services in the country. It was purchased by UnitedHealth Group in 1991, and had a strong customer base that included GE, PepsiCo and Chevron.

eBenx, Mark’s second company, was built to support eligibility management and premium payments for Fortune 500 companies. When eBenx went public in 1999, it was the largest IPO in Minnesota history.

mPay Gateway™ is Mark’s latest venture in health care technology. Mark has served as an executive within Kaiser Health Plan, CIGNA Health Plan and United HealthCare. He received his MBA from the University of Minnesota in 1977, and served in the Peace Corps from 1971 to 1973.

While at UnitedHealth Group from 1999 through 2005, he was one of the founders of its consumer finance business. He chartered Exante Bank, the first successful bank built by a health care company, and served as its Chair for three years.

Brian began his career in the private practice of law, advising clients on a variety of financing and M&A transactions. From 1991 through 1998 he was an executive at Jostens, Inc, serving as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. He is a graduate of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and University of Michigan Law School.

Prior to mPay Gateway, John served as general manager and vice president for IDEXX, where he was responsible for leading global growth strategies and operations for the computer systems business unit.

From 1998 to 2005, John served in various leadership positions, including vice president with Misys Healthcare Systems. Prior to his role at Misys, he spent four years as director of planning and business development for The Louisiana Clinic, a multi specialty managed service organization with locations throughout southern Louisiana. He is a graduate of Minnesota State University.

He is responsible for creating the interfaces and data exchange between mPay Gateway and both the financial services industry and the health care practice management systems. Craig has 13 years of IT management experience and 18 years of software development experience.

He most recently worked with SHPS/eBenX as the Manager of Data Integration, where he architected Health Care-related Data Integration systems/procedures, BPM systems and Rules Engines. Previously he worked as a consultant to SearchAmerica, Inc., where he architected transactional interfaces to Equifax, Experian, Axciom, and TransUnion. Craig holds a bachelor’s degree from Concordia College, Moorhead, Minnesota.

As one of mPay Gateway’s first employees Timothy helped create its innovative software, which enables easy connections to both financial services and health care technology systems. Timothy also brings software design and business process automation experience to mPay Gateway.

Prior to joining mPay Gateway, Timothy was employed by SHPS/eBenX where he worked on financial billing systems and overall health care systems architecture. He holds a BS in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota, and a BS in Biotechnology from North Dakota State University.

Prior to joining mPay Gateway, Jim was the senior finance executive at Idexx Laboratories for their veterinary practice management software business.

Jim also served as CFO at TD Banknorth Insurance Group, where he executed and integrated a series of acquisitions and held various management positions in the employee benefits unit of Unum, the disability insurance carrier. Jim is a graduate of Bowdoin College and has an MBA from the University of Michigan.

Stephanie has over 20 years of experience in management and operations in the healthcare, retail, and information technology industries. Her background in clinic operations, software development and quality assurance, EDI and website development, as well as retail operations lends itself well to mPay's mission.

Prior to joining mPay, Stephanie held management positions with Deluxe Corporation, Medica health Plan, and Fairview Corporation. She holds a BA in Business Communication and Organizational Management from Concordia University in St. Paul, Minnesota. Stephanie is also certified as a Lean Champion.
